I am surprised with the part the Pope was prompted with the question about technology by the Leandro Santos II., UST Law student, at the Youth Encounter with POPE FRANCIS. ------------------ The Pope reply with THREE LANGUAGE -- TO THINK, TO FEEL, and TO DO. Can you repeat this? To think, to feel, and to do. And all that, harmoniously. He also posed the questions, the world of information. Today, with so many means of communications, we are overloaded with information. Is that bad? Not necessarily. It is good and it can help. |
But there is a real danger of living in a way of accumulating information. We have so much information, but maybe we don’t know what to do with that information. We’re on the risk of becoming museums of young people that have everything but without knowing what to do with them. ------------------ I am very familiar with this concern, and I have given at least 4 years of my career trying to give solution to this issue. I am very surprised it was raise to the POPE as a concern by the youth, I felt my voice was heard. SO MUCH OF SO MANY CAN BE PARALYZING, to clear once mind what to do with technology and information is a daunting process in it self. So many who claim they figured out the internet are actually the exact people who create more confusion, adding more and more conflicting ideas, overwhelming misleading information, clogging the minds of those who turn to technology for results. In-turn museum of youth, collection of knowledge as display, but do not really know what to do with it. We have millions of users of the internet all bloated with information, nailed with their own confusion. SO MANY ARE CONTRIBUTING, PUBLISHING TRASHY IDEAS far from the SUPERIOR REALITY, it is what makes not only the youth of our country confused with technology, but almost the 90% of the general internet Filipino users, left with million of so called clues how to use IT to advance their career, their studies, their well being, results -- NOTHING. The internet if it is filtered, if it is authentic, can really help our youth move forward. I sometimes really wish I have an alien power to provide FOCUS among us. To be someone who has superpower to make technology understanding instant. Unfortunately I am not. I am only she, who is sometimes defeated by own personal needs, who gets exhausted, who is also overwhelmed by the many who wants attention and make internet understanding their business and their so called advocacy. Although we never stop thinking of how we can deliver good technology training, best e-commerce and start-up ideas, other computer education and applications, but to avoid adding more clutters online, I saw my self stepping back. To insist what I know is better and correct against others, will only be up against all the trash of those who continue to write and published about their expertise, for the purpose of better ranking, SEO effort only for attention. I opt to step back, although reflective against my brand being not too visible, it is not contributing if we continuously over-flood the internet of ideas repackaged as new and claim uniquely as ours. I refuse to add repeated content, personal opinion against others with no names. I refuse to publicly say more, if it is already said by others, or if I have said it before, or if I already said it again and again, regardless of my positioning, for the sake of the precious time of those who are hopeful for changes, I opt to keep our training available only to those who will come and ask. "TO THINK, TO FEEL and TO DO, And all that, harmoniously", To hope technology will help us achieve results for our lives, is time to DO things needed to be done. And following what the POPE have said, be a YOUNG HOLY, a SAINT who can love. It all make sense, to love is to offer online what is good for others. ------------------ 1/18 2014 -UST - Pope Francis Youth Encounter MANILA BULLETIN TRANSLATION: The Pope - You might ask me: ‘Father, how do we become saints?’ This is another challenge. It’s the challenge of love. Which is the most important subject that you have to learn in university? What is the most important subject you have to learn in life? To learn how to love and this is the challenge that life offers you: To learn how to love and not just accumulating information without knowing what to do with it. But through that love, that information bear fruit. After this, the gospel offers us a serene path and way forward. Use the three languages: of the mind, of the heart, and of your hands. And the three, to use them in harmony: What you think, you must feel and put into effect. Your information comes down to your heart and you realize it in real works. And this, harmoniously. Think what you feel and what you do. Feel what you think and feel what you do. You do what you think and what you feel—the three languages. Can you repeat this? To think, to feel, and to do. To think, to feel, and to do. To think, to feel, and to do. And all that, harmoniously.
